"Around 2014, I developed what is called in the medical community “Essential Tremor” and made it impossible to make art as I once did.
But the “Gift” says “I don’t care about your delivery system, use your nose or use your toes but “DO” something.”
So, I developed a painting system using tape and fluorescent acrylic paint. Even so, I made a mess over and over again. That is why my painting should have been completed in less than a year instead of over two and a half.
Unlike my Historical Cartography, my abstract art comes out of the unknown. I never have an idea that I want to express. My work comes out of a process that it eternally ongoing. In short, the subject is the process. I only name my work after the fact and more out necessity.
In this original 5'x7' untitled piece, lines become flat planes of color that interact with circular images creating three dimensions out of two. Geometric designs act as optical illusions and others are like dynamic crystals forming under their own organic force, giving birth to semiotic circular signs and symbols that are familiar yet unknown.
The images in this painting are perpetually moving through time and space in eternal, dynamic, creativity."
